We are James Miller and Lenise Perez-Miller, artists located in the beautiful hill country north of Boerne, TX. Working in our art studio, which we built with a friend a couple of years ago, we create pottery, sculptural 3D art, assemblage and fine art. Our intentions, with covid conscious environment, is to be able to share our knowledge of ceramics, sculptural techniques and various other styles of art by conducting classes/ workshops in a fun, exciting creative studio. Hi, I’m James Miller, potter, sculpture and educator. I have a Master’s degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in ceramics. I have been creating functional and non-functional pottery for over 30 years. In addition to pottery, I create sculptural assemblage art. Currently, I instruct Ceramics and Design @ Northest Lakeview in San Antonio, TX where I have served as an Assistant Professor since 2007.
Hi, I’m Lenise Perez-Miller, sculpture, painter and former art teacher. I have a bachelors degree from University of Incarnate Word and attended University of Texas at San Antonio which is where I had the opportunity to learn about ceramics from artist/ professor Steve Reynolds. I enjoy creating sculptural clay forms but lately I have ventured into assemblage art. I find I can combine my love of ceramics with found objects, therefore, creating a different way of expressing myself.
Our Family…Pepper and Bailey. Unfortunately, we lost Pepper May 23rd, 2021. He was a chill cat that enjoyed sitting in the sun. He was loved very much and will be missed. Bailey likes going on walks and she definitely loves attention. A new kitty has entered our lives, Shiloh. He is pretty crazy but can be adorable when he’s vegging. All of our pets have been rescue animals.
