Naked Raku & Horse Hair Workshop with Artists James Miller and Lenise Perez-Miller May 25th, 2024
10 a.m. – 5p.m. May 25th, 2024 Limited Slots Available
All skill levels are welcomed. Learn how to use stencils, how to glaze and meet other wonderful people. All materials will be provided, including glazes, stencils and pottery. Snacks, water & hotdogs provided. Instructions, Materials and Pottery Fee: $145. Participants will choose three (3) pre-thrown/ non-glazed pieces of pottery to glaze and fire. Throughout the afternoon, participants can choose to watch or actively engage in the hands-on firing of glazed works. You may bring your own mask to wear, however mask will be provided to participates to guard against possible airborne smoke generated by Raku firing processes. Participants must wear closed toe shoes and bring lightweight long sleeve shirt. Join us for a transformative workshop that will empower you to create a fun animal sculpture from clay. We will take you from beginning to end with expert instructions. All skill levels welcomed. $200 fee includes Materials: All materials will be provided, including clay, glazes, and firing.
